Terms of Service

1. Who we are

These terms apply to the Spoto website, the dashboard, and any notifications we send you. Our Privacy Policy explains separately how we handle personal data.

2. What Spoto does

Spoto monitors publicly available classified listings on third-party sites — currently ss.lv, city24.lv and pp.lv — and notifies you when a newly published listing matches a filter you created.

Spoto is an alerting and search tool. It is not a marketplace, a broker, an estate agency or a party to any transaction. We do not sell, rent, value or inspect anything that appears in a listing.

We may add, change or remove monitored sites, categories, filter attributes and notification channels as those sites change. We aim to keep the service working, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

3. Listings come from third parties

All listing content — titles, descriptions, prices, photographs and contact details — originates from the source site and its advertiser. We reproduce it for the purpose of alerting you and linking you to the original.

We do not verify that a listing is accurate, current, lawful or genuine. Prices change, listings are withdrawn or re-published, and advertisers make mistakes. Always check the original listing before acting on it.

Any dealings you have with an advertiser are solely between you and them. We are not responsible for their conduct, for the condition of any property or vehicle, or for any payment you make.

If a source site changes its structure, blocks automated access or ceases to operate, coverage of that site may be reduced or stop entirely. That is a foreseeable characteristic of the service, not a defect.

4. Your account

You need an account to create filters and receive notifications. You must give a valid email address and keep your details accurate.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at [legal@spoto.lv] if you believe someone else has access to it.

Accounts are personal. Do not share your account, and do not create an account on behalf of someone else without their authority.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Spoto, or older if the law where you live requires it.

5. Plans, prices and payment

Spoto offers a free plan and paid plans. What each plan includes — the number of filters, notification channels and notification delay — is shown on the pricing page and in your dashboard.

Prices are shown in euro and include VAT where it applies. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card details. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment itself.

Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; your plan then stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not renewed.

If a payment fails we may retry it. If it keeps failing, your account is moved to the free plan and the paid features stop. We may change prices, but not for a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you in advance.

6. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason.

Spoto is a digital service supplied immediately. By subscribing you expressly ask us to start providing it at once and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once it has been fully performed. Where the service has only partly been performed, you may withdraw and pay a proportionate amount for what you have used.

To withdraw, write to [legal@spoto.lv] from the address on your account. This section does not affect your other statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Notifications

We send notifications by email, Telegram and in the dashboard, according to your plan and your settings. Delivery depends on services we do not control, including mail providers and Telegram.

We do not guarantee that every matching listing will be found, that a notification will arrive, or that it will arrive within a particular time. Paid plans reduce the delay we add before sending; they do not remove the delay inherent in how often a source site publishes.

You are responsible for the email address and Telegram chat ID you enter. Only enter contact details that belong to you. Using Spoto to send unwanted messages to anyone else is a breach of these terms.

You can turn any channel off in your notification settings, or use the unsubscribe link in any notification email.

8. Acceptable use

Use Spoto for your own search for property or vehicles, or — on a professional plan — for the clients you manage in the service.

Do not scrape, crawl or bulk-extract data from Spoto, and do not resell, republish or redistribute the aggregated data — in particular the price history — whether or not you paid for access to it.

Do not attempt to breach or probe the security of the service, interfere with its operation, circumvent plan limits or rate limits, or access another user's data.

Do not use Spoto unlawfully, or in a way that breaches the terms of the source sites we monitor.

9. Intellectual property

The Spoto software, design, name and logo belong to us. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service under these terms; nothing else is transferred to you.

Listing content belongs to the source site or the advertiser. Nothing in these terms gives you rights to it beyond viewing it in Spoto and following the link to the original.

If you believe content shown in Spoto infringes your rights, write to [legal@spoto.lv] and we will look into it.

10. Liability

Spoto is provided as it is. We do not promise that you will find a listing, secure a deal, or be first to any listing.

We are not liable for a missed, delayed or undelivered notification, for a listing that was not found, for inaccurate information originating from a source site, or for any deal you did or did not make.

Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit or opportunity.

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Spoto at any time. You can delete your account yourself from your settings; deletion removes your account, filters and notification history and cancels any active subscription.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.

If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any period you have already paid for.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms — for example when we add features, change plans, or the law changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.

If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use Spoto after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can cancel or delete your account.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory rules of the country where you live.

We would rather resolve any problem directly, so please write to [legal@spoto.lv] first. Consumers in Latvia may also contact the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC), or use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

Any dispute that cannot be settled between us may be brought before the courts of the Republic of Latvia, without prejudice to a consumer's right to bring proceedings where they live.
